By registering with Trinetra you agree to the terms below. They are written in plain English so every family can understand them.

Last updated: January 2026

This document is a template and does not constitute legal advice. Consult a qualified legal professional before deploying a live service.

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a legally binding agreement between you and Trinetra (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By creating an account, scanning a QR code, visiting our website, using our mobile application, or registering at a Trinetra booth, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use the Trinetra service.

2. About the Service

Trinetra is a QR-based Lost & Found assistance platform designed to help families stay connected and reunite quickly at India's sacred gatherings, including pilgrimages, yatras, temple festivals, and melas such as the Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2026. The service provides digital identity cards, real-time alerts, volunteer coordination, and navigation support.

Trinetra is an aid service only. It is not a substitute for official police services, emergency services, or the National Emergency Number 112. In any life-threatening situation, contact emergency services immediately. Trinetra supplements but does not replace official response systems.

3. Eligibility & Registration

To create a Trinetra account, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete registration information
  • Have a valid mobile number that can receive OTP verification
  • Agree to keep your login credentials confidential

Each account is for personal, non-commercial family use. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at care@trinetra.in if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Fees & Payments

A one-time registration fee is charged per family, as displayed at the time of registration. All payments are processed securely through Razorpay. By paying, you agree to Razorpay's terms of service in addition to these Terms.

Fees are non-refundable once QR identity cards have been generated and delivered, except where required by applicable Indian consumer protection law. If the event for which you registered is formally cancelled by the organising authority, a full refund will be issued within 14 business days. Partial refunds for unused family member slots are not provided.

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

5. User Responsibilities

When using Trinetra, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and truthful information for yourself and every family member you register
  • Keep registered information up to date, including travel dates and contact numbers
  • Use the platform only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms
  • Supervise and remain responsible for the safety of family members under your care
  • Ensure minor children you have registered wear or carry their QR identity card during the event
  • Not share your account credentials with anyone outside your immediate family

6. Acceptable Use

The following actions are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate account suspension and legal action:

  • Scanning QR codes of strangers without their knowledge or consent, except in a genuine lost person situation
  • Filing a false lost report or creating fictitious family member profiles
  • Attempting to access, alter, or delete another user's records
  • Using the platform to harass, defraud, or stalk any individual
  • Reverse-engineering, scraping, or otherwise extracting data from the platform
  • Impersonating a Trinetra volunteer, operator, or official
  • Interfering with the platform's infrastructure or security measures

7. QR Identity Cards

Each registered family member receives a unique QR identity card. You are responsible for ensuring that:

  • The card is kept visible and accessible on each family member during the event
  • The card is not deliberately defaced, altered, or transferred to another person
  • You report a lost or damaged card to a Trinetra booth immediately

A nominal reprinting fee may apply for replacement cards. Trinetra is not liable for failures in reunion resulting from a card that was not worn, was damaged, or was obscured at the time of scanning.

8. Volunteer & Booth Conduct

Volunteers and booth operators must comply with the Trinetra Volunteer Code of Conduct issued separately. Key obligations include maintaining confidentiality of personal data seen during reunions, acting with dignity and impartiality, and reporting misconduct to a supervisor immediately.

Volunteer accounts that are found to have been misused will be suspended and the matter may be referred to law enforcement. Trinetra reserves the right to revoke volunteer or operator access at any time without notice if it believes the account is being misused.

9. Limitation of Liability

Trinetra provides a best-effort reunion assistance service. We make no guarantee that a registered person will be found within any specific timeframe, or at all, given the unpredictable nature of large crowd events.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable Indian law, Trinetra and its officers, employees, volunteers, and agents shall not be liable for:

  • Any injury, loss, or harm to persons, including loss of life, arising from crowd events
  • Failure to reunite a person due to inaccurate registration data, a missing or damaged QR card, or network unavailability
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use the service
  • Any third-party actions, including those of volunteers or event organisers

Our total aggregate liability to you, where it cannot be excluded by law, shall not exceed the amount you paid in registration fees.

10. Service Availability

We strive to keep Trinetra available 24 hours a day during an active event period, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance, network outages, or force majeure events (including natural disasters or government directives) may cause temporary interruptions. Where feasible, we will announce planned downtime in advance via the app.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nashik, Maharashtra, India.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email or in-app notification for material changes. Your continued use of the service after the effective date of any revision constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
